Surfing

With spectacular beaches, long indented coastine and the fresh atlantic surf it is no surprise that the surfing scene in North Kerry is rapidly gorwing. Spring and Summer are better seasons for surfing, when the winter swirl is present. The most popular area for surf is at Ballybunion Beach, a recognised surfing spot and it is suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Another popular place for surfers and especially for those travelling from Tralee is Banna Beach. For the kite surfers there is also a haven and Banna and Fenit are the most popular.
