Fenit village is a small Irish village, with a charm of its’ own. The pace is slower here, as locals and visitors alike take time to enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings – walk the unspoiled blue flag beaches, let the little ones play in the playground, swim from the bathing area, follow the St. Brendan historic trail, or just sit back, relax and soak up the atmosphere and stunning scenery over a coffee or a pint.
During the Rose of Tralee festival, The Harbour Commissioners host a reception for the Roses onboard a Naval vessel docked in the harbour.
If you prefer escapism but with both feet on the ground, there is excellent sea angling available from the viaduct connecting Fenit Harbour to the mainland. No permit or licence required. There are also berths available at the marina if you wish to arrive by boat.
